Steve Shea has an extensive background in long term care insurance. He served as Regional Sales Manager for American Express’s long term care unit, AMEX in both Washington State and New York. He went on to become their East Coast Sales Manager. Steve worked with Washington National Insurance Company in their group long term care division as a Long Term Consultant for the nation’s largest teacher associations. Steve joined Prudential as their Northeast Sales Manager and quickly rose to become their National Long Term Care Sales Director for 8 years. The long term care team in which he served was recognized with the Prudential Chairman’s Award for excellence in innovation. Steve ended his corporate career with MassMutual where he directed a team that provided national support for their long term care plans.
Steve has been self-employed as both an agent and general agent since 2009 assisting both agents and clients with their long term care income planning. He has spoken to numerous groups about the importance of long term care income planning. Today Steve is affiliated with One Legacy Financial, a full-service financial planning firm in Parsippany, New Jersey. His practice also focuses in assisting clientele confronted with large premium increases on their legacy long term care plans. He has experience assisting clients in stabilizing their premiums and striving to improve the financial strength of their long term care income plans.
Steve will be celebrating his 40th wedding anniversary with his wife Joy in 2020. They enjoy living close to their daughter and her family and are active in the lives of their three young grandchildren.
